HISS, FORMERLY KNOWN AS PET SOUNDS RECORDS, OPENED UP THE DOORS IN NOVEMBER 1979. IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INDEPENDENT RECORD STORE IN SWEDEN AND HAS BEEN FOR MORE THAN FOUR DECADES.

WITH A WORLDWIDE REPUTATION, THE STORE IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL DESPITE THE TURBULENT WORLD OF THE MUSIC BUSINESS.

The main goal with this rebranding project is to breathe some fresh air to the store’s neglected visual language. to resonate with younger audiences while wearing the 40 years of service proudly as a badge of honour.

Materialising the idea, I incroparated aspects from differents genres and eras of music in the visual language in an attempt to showcase the company’s pedigree in sourcing a wide variety of both heard and unheard of music.
